On July 7th, 2020, surrounded by his family, Lawson peacefully left his earthly life. Lawson was raised on his parents’ farm in Mount Forest, with his three siblings and moved to Cambridge with his wife in his early adult life. He built his own home and lived at 65 Branchton Road for many years. He worked as a foreman at Canadian Brass and Waltec until his retirement. He enjoyed many activities playing golf, curling, card clubs, gardening, woodworking and he volunteered, driving for the Canadian Cancer Society. He also belonged to the Mason Lodge. He was a devoted husband and loving father. The legacy of Lawson is the loving times shared together as a family and the gift of love he gave over a span of 95 years. He is now in God’s care and he is free from pain and strife and rests in eternal peace.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Donna, of Fonthill, son Wayne (Penny) of Ottawa, granddaughter Kristen of Ottawa and his sister Stella Voigt (Ken) of Delhi and many nieces and nephews.
