Obituary
BRUCE, Morley Richard
Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend passed away and joined his wife Iris, while surrounded by loved ones at home on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the age of 83. Morley was born in Regina and spent his early years on the family farm near Kronau and Lajord, SK and moved to Regina for his High School years. After High School he worked a variety of jobs until he met and married the love of his life, Iris (nee Perdue) in 1958. Morley and Iris moved to Saskatoon in 1966 when Morley partnered in General Graphic Services. He worked and eventually purchased and operated the business until 2004 when he retired after 38 years. Morley will be remembered by so many for his “I’ll Help” attitude and volunteering spirit during his dedicated service to Highland Dancing, Speed Skating, Rowing, Elmwood Lodge and Cosmo Club to name a few. Up to the end, Dad was in good humour and full of gratitude for his family and the life he was able to lead as his family was always the most important thing to him. Morley is survived by his daughter Colleen May (Alan), son Allan (Deana) and grandchildren Liam and Mackenzie. Special thank you to the Home Care nurses and Dr. Ewa Olszynski. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Morley’s memory to: Canadian Cancer Society (#2-630-45th St. W., Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9) or to Palliative Care c/o St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation (1702 20th St. W., Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9). A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends in the future when larger gatherings are safe and permitted.
