Marie Kearney nee Kelly July 11 1925 to July 4 2020

Passed away peacefully at Chancellor Park in St. John’s NL, on July 4, 2020, one week before her 95th birthday, Marie Kearney (nee Kelly). Born in Harbour Grace, NL on July 11, 1925 to Ellen (nee Dunn) and Peter Kelly. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond T (d. March 3, 1991); sister Eileen Kelly; sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Joseph Reynolds and brother-in-law Kevin Reynolds. Leaving to mourn her daughter Ramona Kearney of Edmonton, son Gary Kearney (Kathy) of Corner Brook, daughter Catherine Kearney of Belleville and daughter Colleen (Quenton) of Portugal Cove-St. Philips; grandchildren Madeleine and Dennis Goulden; Heather, Harrison and Liam Doyle; Grace and Rachael Currie; Jamie-Lee Cormier (Brad) and their sons Nathan and Noah; and sister, Kay Reynolds of Harbour Grace.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s. Due to covid-19 restrictions, visitation and funeral numbers are limited. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 6 from 5-6 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. Funeral to be held at Holy Trinity Church in Torbay on Tuesday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Topsail Road, Mt. Pearl. Livestreaming of the funeral service will be available on the Facebook page for Holy Trinity, St. Agnes’, & St. Michael’s Parishes. If you would like to attend the visitation or the funeral, please contact Colleen Kearney or Quenton Currie. Donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
