Mr. Paul Vanderheyden of Delhi passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 26, 2020 in his 88th year. Paul came to Canada from Belgium in 1959 and worked very hard to become an accomplished carpenter. He spent most of his free time in his workshop doing the projects that he enjoyed so much. Paul was also custodian with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic School Board for 16 years. Beloved husband of Adrienne Vanderheyden (Taeymans) for over 63 years. Loving father of Denise Lewis (Tim), Debbie Vanderheyden, and Monique Vanderheyden (Scott Michael). Cherished Bompa of Nicholas Reyno, Scott Paul Lewis and Monique Marie Lewis. Dearest brother of Rudolph Vanderheyden ( Lydia ), Maria Dewitte (Late Wilfred), and Jeanne Schniermanni (Late Waldemaar). Predeceased by his siblings Madeleine, Louis, Joseph, and Alice. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends & family, a Private Family Funeral Service has taken place with Interment in Delhi Cemetery . Memorial Donations can be made to the Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Memorial Fund at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
