Audrey May Scholotiuk 2020

Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Scholotiuk on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her children, Alan (Pamela) and Gord (Adele); grandchildren: Elaine (Blake) Buschau, Richard (Kelly), Nicholas (Debrah) and Andrew (Breanna); step grandchildren, Katherine (Jim) Weir and Nanette Warman (Mark Loveseth); great grandchildren: Decklan and Keira Scholotiuk, Colby and Cailee Buschau; step great grandchildren: Kyla Nadeau, Gavin Turlock and Matthew Weir. Audrey also leaves behind her sister, Frances Winczura; brother, Gary (Edythe) Frohlich; sister-in-law, Doris Alexandriuk as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased on June 3, 2020 by her husband Nick.
Audrey was born in Legal, Alberta on October 27, 1932 and was the eldest in a family of two sisters and one brother. After completing her schooling, Audrey went to work in the bank where she remained until her retirement in 1992.
In 1954, she married Nick and they were married for almost 66 years until his passing. Together they had two sons.
While working in the bank, Audrey held a variety of positions including working as a teller and in customer service. She enjoyed meeting people and working with them to ensure their banking needs were met. Audrey was very good with numbers as she could add up columns of figures and calculate the totals without the use of any mechanical device.
Audrey loved her family and was always happy whenever gatherings took place. She took special delight in her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would at times be seen playing board games with them. Family gatherings always included a huge meal which would feed an army. A favourite family joke was that there was never enough to eat.
The family would like to thank the staff at Summerwood Village and Chartwell Emerald Hills in Sherwood Park for their professional and compassionate care of Audrey.
Cremation has taken place and as per Audrey’s wishes, no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
