Gordon Wilson
1974-2020
We the family of Gordon Russell Wilson,
of Boundary Creek, are devastated to announce the accidental loss of
our rock on Thursday, June 18, 2020, near Nackawic.
Gordon is survived by the love of his
life Allison, it just was not long enough. Father Jack
Wilson (late Susan), only sister Diane Wilson, and
more of a Dad then an Uncle to his 3 nieces, Cecilia, Susan and
Kayla. Mother-in-law Rose MacLeod, step-sister Kim Williams
(Doug), step-brother Kenneth George, brother-in-law, Albert
“Nipper” Steele (Robin), sister-in-law Bev Steele (late
Wally), and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and his
friends on Steeves Mountain.
Predeceased by his mother Susan, his
step-mother Shirley and his aunt Beverly.
Gordon had been a long haul trucker for
over 20 years, working for many trucking companies, his last position
with Loblaw’s. However, his main joy in life was
family. He took on the role of a leader with no
hesitation. Whether helping his father in Anagance, his
sister, or his in-laws, he never wavered. He loved to laugh, make you
laugh, with a twinkle in his eye and that little boy grin he could get
away with it, time and time again.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing,
working in the yard, and of course his Grizzly. He also
loved games of all sorts, board games, card games (especially
200’s and Texas Hold Em), and entertained his nieces with
many games of hide and seek. He loved to drive, whether in a
big rig or in his cherished F150, usually with his Camo hat
on. Camo crocs in the house were his slippers of
choice. He loved to cook, especially for a crowd, and did
the majority of cooking for his wedding to Allison, the happiest day
of his life.
A celebration of life will be announced
at a later date. A private interment will take place in Alderwood
Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).
If desired, memorials to the New Brunswick Wildlife Federation or
charity of your choice would be appreciated.
