Obituary
Roma Ritchie (72), of Golden Grove, passed away peacefully on 15 Jun 20, with Winston (Pappy) by her side.
Born 3 July 1947 in Bonshaw Prince Edward Island to the late Theresa and Michael Costello. Roma was married to Winston Ritchie for 55 years. She is survived by her husband and 3 children: Belinda (Scott) Tharpe, Murray (Rosalina) and Bruce (Kimberly). She is also survived by her 9 grand-children and 1 great grand child and several nieces and nephews. Roma was pre-deceased by her 2 sisters and 3 brothers, Hazel Henry, Ausline Calvin, Gus, Lawrence and Leo Costello.
Roma was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed life and the holidays, especially Christmas. She offered a safe place for family to “visit” and always saw the best in people.
She was employed at Northern Telecom until its closure in 1988 and assisted with the Sus music jams for the past 2 years. She was an active member of the Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Saint John.
She loved to work in her garden and spoil her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for country music and enjoyed country jams with “Pappy” on a regular basis, meeting new friends and socializing on a weekly basis.
A special thank you to Bobby’s Hospice, Father Weir and Betty Green for their support through Roma’s final days.
Flowers can be sent to the Fundy Funeral Home. Donations to Bobby’s Hospice. Visitation and services will be by invitation only. The family apologizes to anyone not able to say their final goodbye to Roma.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Roma Claire Costello Ritchie July 3 1947 June 15 2020 (age 72)..
