It is with deep sadness that the
family of the late GEORGE OLDFORD of
Grand Bank announces his passing. George passed away at Dr.
S. Beckley Health Care Centre in Grand Bank on Saturday, June
13th, 2020 at the age of 73.
Leaving to mourn with a
lifetime of wonderful memories are his loving son, Richard (Janet) of
Grand Bank; daughter, Mary Lynn (Dianne) of Springhill, NS;
granddaughter, Reannah (Megan) of St. John’s; grandson,
Isaiah of Springhill, NS; special care worker and friend Elvina;
sisters, Mildred (William), Marjorie (Walter), Violet, Rose (Dean),
Nancy (Terry), Kay (Jerry), Ruth, Ruby (Robert), Lily, sister
& best friend, Loretta (Barry); brothers, Leonard (Theresa),
Melvin (Gladys) and Eric (Corrina), and lifelong friend, Graham (Ida);
plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his loving
adoptive parents, William Oldford & Ethel Mae; biological
mother, Mildred Peddle; biological father, William Peddle (Dorothy);
and brothers, Clayton and Allan.
Due to the
current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 a private family service
will take place at a later
date.
