Margaret’s Obituary
GREAR – Margaret “Suzanne”. With broken hearts, the family of Margaret Suzanne Grear announce her passing at home on June 12, 2020 with her husband by her side after a courageous battle of ovarian cancer. Born July 3, 1953 at Roseway hospital, she was a daughter of the late Barney and Elsie (Hamilton) Goulden. Suzanne’s passion was books. From a young age, she discovered the love of reading and it encompassed her life so completely that she made it a career. She was a librarian at the McKay Memorial library for over 30 years during which time she achieved a library technician diploma from NSCC. She met many people during those years to whom she held a great fondness. Her family was the centre of her life and any shopping trips always included picking something up for “the kids”. She took pride in her home and pleasure in decorating each room with her special touch. Suzanne had a heart for people who were going through hard times in their lives and would do her best to give a helping hand. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, the love of her life, husband and best friend, Wayne, sons Paul (Kim) Boudreau, Shane (Dawn) Boudreau, daughter Melanie Grear-Crowell (Ryan Toker), step children, Bub (Chastity) Grear and Tanya (Troy) Nickerson. Grandchildren; Raya, Carmie, Austin, Cody, Adrian, Kayleigh, Koreigh, Ryan, Kelly. Sister, Sheila (Burke) Doane, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by stepson Allan Grear and granddaughter Karissa Boudreau. The family would like to thank the VON and the home care workers who made it possible for Suzanne to spend her last days at home. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. It was Suzanne’s request that there be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Upper Sandy Point Cemetery.
