Obituary
LOGAN, Verna – Peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Homes, Woodstock, ON on Friday January 10th, 2020. Verna E. Logan (nee McComb) formerly of Curries in her 90th year. Dedicated mother of Murray and his wife Pat of Curries. Proud grandmother of Leah, Matthew (Jessica), Curtis (Kelsie), Chris and great- grandmother of Laura. Dear sister of Helen Karn and her family. Dear sister in law of Barbara Logan and her family. Predeceased by her husband Vaughn I. Logan (2012). Predeceased by her parents C. E. McComb and F. Velma (Martin) McComb and brothers-in-law Howard J. Karn (2007) and M. Mac Logan (2014). Verna enjoyed a life long career teaching elementary school in Granton, Oxford Centre, Woodstock and Norwich. She dedicated her time developing educational opportunites for children. Verna farmed with her family having a love for nature, animals and their northern cottage. Verna was a long time member of Curries United Church. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Monday January 13th, 2020 from 6-8pm, and Tuesday January 14th, 2020 from 10-11am. A service is to follow in the chapel at 11am with Reverend John Brown officiating. If desired, contributions to The Sunshine Foundation or The Canadian Wildlife Federation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
