Mary peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 to join her loving husband Eddie.
Mary will be forever missed and loved by her son Dave (Susan) & daughter Sharon (Dale). She will always be cherished by her four dear granddaughters Riki (Joe), Jackie (Kyle), Ashley (Greg) & Jade (Evan), and by her great grandchildren Carmelo, Zoe, Beckett, Charlotte & Oaklyn. She will also be dearly missed by her brother Joe (Diane), sister in law Jeanette and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary, and brother Len and sister Helen.
Mary was raised in Beausejour and went on to meet the love of her life Eddie; they married on October 2, 1954. Mary was employed with Transport Canada as a Pay and Benefits Manager for 15 years which took her travelling across Canada and the NorthWest Territories. She loved the many camping and family trips travelling to Alberta, Las Vegas, throughout the states, with Hawaii being a favourite destination spot. She enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, reading, and crosswords. Her happy place was in the presence of her family and laughing at her dear Eddie’s countless entertaining and illustrated stories. Mary had an appreciation and wisdom to her that so was rare and special; she always knew the right thing to say with her calming presence. She touched the lives of many with her unconditional love, support, gentleness, and kindness that never wavered no matter the circumstance. She had an amazing ability to gracefully take in stride the challenges she was met with in life.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be taking place at Season’s Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoba Possible [formerly known as the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, SMD].
