Obituary
Kenneth Cole
It is with great sadness, that the family of Kenneth “Ken” Lloyd Cole announce his passing on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020. Ken was born to George “Frisco” and Winnifred “Winnie” on December 26th, 1947 at home in Semans, Saskatchewan. Growing up in Semans, Ken would move to Regina for a short while and then to Saskatoon, where he continued to live until his passing.
Ken was an Army Veteran, followed by a career with SAMA. He was employed with SAMA until his retirement.
Ken was passionate about many things. His absolute favorite hobby was golf. He loved playing and watching golf. His favorite place to golf in recent years was Delisle Golf Club with his brother and best friend Wes. Ken also enjoyed reading, word puzzles and catching the Roughrider games on television. He was constantly educating himself and retained information like a sponge. He could be engaged in reading a book or solving a puzzle while watching one of his favorite shows Jeopardy at the same time; blurting out the answers without thought. But what made Ken happiest, was to be with family and friends. Including his love of kitties, especially his own, Babie and Monkie.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, his world, Mickie; his son Pat (Michelle) O’Brian and grandchildren Aidan, Caelan and Alisha; his daughter Jenn (Kaylen) O’Brian; his brother Wes (Anne) Cole; his sister Marlene (Michael) Neufeld; his sister-in-law’s Faye Cole and Judy Waddington; his brother-in-law Stephen (Julie) Waddington; close friend Lane Cooper as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Frisco and Winnie; brothers, Myron and Vic.
We love you infinity.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken’s name to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the Saskatoon SPCA. Arrangements are in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services. A private interment will take place at a later date.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
