Catherine Grace “Cathy” Branscombe
September 1, 1951 – June 5, 2020
Loving wife of 34 years to Ken Branscombe.
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my beautiful and very talented wife Cathy Branscombe. Cathy was my soulmate and best friend. She guided me through this life with grace, love and dignity. She spoke her mind but was always kind and giving to anyone who needed help. She was an equestrian and shared her passion for horses with me and it gave me great joy to watch her ride. She was a loving and generous wife, fabulous cook and seamstress, excelling in all that she did. Cathy also loved to garden and brought life to our property with flowers, bushes and trees which will flourish for years to come and remind me of her beautiful spirit.
Cathy will be missed by her mother Mable Allen, step-mom Heather Allen (father Lloyd Allen deceased), her sister Elizabeth Allen, brother Jeff Allen, step-brother Geoff Webb and partner Liza, step-son Paul Branscombe of Salt Spring Island, nieces Charlotte and Morgan and nephew Oliver.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of Picton Hospital who cared for Cathy in her last days. They showed tremendous caring and compassion in this difficult time. I am grateful that I was able to be with her and hold her until the end. She will be missed by the many people she touched, friends and family.
A small and private service will be held at Glenwood Cemetary Picton, Ontario and a Celebration of Life will be planned for Cathy at a later date.
Donations may be made in Cathy’s name to PECMH Foundation or Prince Edward County Library.
Arrangements entrusted to the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 main St., Picton, ON.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Catherine Grace Cathy Branscombe September 1 1951 June 5 2020..
