Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday June 4, 2020, Anne Josephine Whelan age 90 years of Cape Broyle.
Predeceased by her Husband John (2009), Sons Joseph (1985), Adrian (2005), Grandson Curtis (2003) and son-in-law Stephen O’Reilly (1991).
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories: Daughters: Carmel O’Reilly(Stephen-deceased) Mobile, Mary Carew (Don) Bay Bulls,
Arlene Croft Cape Broyle, Brenda Yard (Thomas), Ann Marie Carey (Joseph), Rhonda Trainor (Doug) Witless Bay, Colleen Alleyne (Fred)
Scarborough, Ontario, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Whelan Bay Bulls. Sons: John (Joyce) Cape Broyle, Gerard (Betty Anne) Barrie, Ont.,
Kevin (Wanda) Bay Bulls, Michael (Patricia) Tors Cove, Dermot, Scarborough, Ontario; 28 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren.
Also leaving behind her siblings: Junior O’Brien (Bern), Cathy Fleming, Marge Carew, Lil Hawkins (Terrence), Richie O’Brien (Jocelyn),
Robbie O’Brien (Trudy), Marlie Molloy plus a large circle of other family members and friends.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, Cremation has taken place with visitation and a funeral to take place at a later date.
We want to extend a Special Thank You to the staff at Alderwood Estates for the care and kindness given to our Mother over the last four years.
To the nurses and doctors at Unit 6 West, St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital Thank You for your kindness, support and care over the last few weeks.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society NL or a charity of your choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls.
