Obituary
Ken was born May 12, 1926 in Freemont, Saskatchewan and passed away on May 26, 2020 in Penticton, B.C. Ken was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy in 2007. He will be fondly remembered by his son Allen (Theresa) Mullins, Granddaughters Jennifer Mullins, Paige Mullins (Corey Farquharson), Great Granddaughter Kennedy. He will also be remembered by his daughter Kathy and her family, along with other family members throughout Western Canada.
“Let me tell ya” was Gpa’s favorite saying that came right before his wonderful stories, which we will dearly miss, but will always remember.
Ken was always a giving person. Over the years, he and his wife, Dorothy, belonged to many groups and volunteered for numerous events in the community. The Penticton Elks was a very important part of his life and he spent his Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays playing crib and darts and helping out with any other functions he could. He was also a long-time member and Wagonmaster of the Sun Oka Sam’s camping group. He always looked forward to their monthly outings.
The family would like to thank the caring team at Westview Place Long Term Care Home for making Ken’s last few months comfortable and enjoyable.
There will be no service at this time. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date when we can all be together again.
In Lieu of flowers please make a donation in Ken’s name to the many charities that the Penticton Elks support, or a charity of your choice.
Gpa and Grandma have gone camping again, we can hear the laughter.
