It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Krieger, beloved wife of the late Fred Krieger of Innisfail, after a brief battle with cancer. Mary passed away peacefully with her children by her bedside on June 02, 2020 at the age of 82. Mary was an incredible, mother, sister and friend who was known for her compassion, kindness and love for sports. She was predeceased by her parents Justina & Michael Kurylyk Sr., brother Michael, sisters Stella and Kathy. Mary is survived by her three children, Linda Duffus (Faye), Clare Duffus, Carol McDonell and her treasured grandson Dylan McDonell (Aika). Also left to mourn are her siblings Annie, Vicki, Elizabeth, Helen, Eva, John, Peter, Paul, Steve, Joe and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom said to her children before she passed, “I had a good life” and was grateful for her friendships that made her life rewarding. The family is very grateful for the compassionate care provided by all staff at the Acute Care Centre at Innisfail Health Centre. If by chance you wish to remember Mary, do so with a kind deed or word to someone in need. A small private service will be held with family and close friends at a later date. .
