Obituary of Dana LeBlanc
Dana Michael LeBlanc, age 71, of Westville, passed away on June 1, 2020 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, May 1, 1949, he was a son of the late Moses and Mae (Gray) LeBlanc.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Debbie and daughter Michelle LeBlanc. Dana was a beloved Grampy to Mat LeBlanc, Amber Wyszynski (Andrew), and Brandy LeBlanc; stepfather to Shane (Amanda), Brian (Tammy & Rick), and Matthew (Dominique)and was affectionately called Grumpy to Candace, Hannah, Kennedy, Brandon, Bradley, Cierra, Isabel, and Emilia. He is also missed by his sister Harlene (John) and brother Johny (Joyce).
Dana was predeceased by his parents; sisters Shirley (Rod) and Norma (Ronnie); and step-father Donald Newell.
He was a Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion in both Toronto, ON Branch #266 and Westville, NS, Branch #35. He spent many years working at the New Glasgow, NS Branch #34 and was an avid curler with the Legion Branch #35. Dana had a large extended family and was a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by family, co-workers, fellow legion members, curlers, and friends.
For the safety of family and friends there will be no visitations or services at this time and will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
