James’ Obituary
Quinlan, James Luther – 94, of Bayside Home, formerly of Stoney Island. Passed away on May 24, 2020 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Clam Point on January 8, 1926, he was a son of the late Luther Burgess and Cynthelia Celia (Bateman) Quinlan. Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his wife, Pearl; son, Paul Quinlan; 1 brother and 3 sisters. He will be deeply missed and always remembersed. James is survived by his daughter, Paulette (Martin) of Charlesville; grandsons, David (Valerie) and Troy (Stephie); great-grandchildren, Logan, Lundyn and Sydney of Lower East Pubnico; stepdaughter, Eunice Smith of Newellton; several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Clark’s Harbour Legion. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Bayside Home, Dr. Horton and nurses of 3 east at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. The family would also like to thank all of their extended family and friends for their support throughout this difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private family graveside will be held in his honour at Atlantic Cemetery. No flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to any charity of your choice.
