F. Elaine’s Obituary
King, F. Elaine – 89, Pugwash, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital with her husband by her side. Born in Springhill she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Elsie (Bickle) Ellis. Prior to her marriage Elaine had served with the RCAF. She was the Postmaster in Port Howe for many years before transferring to the Pugwash Post Office where she served as the Assistant Post Master. She is survived by her husband, George King; sons, Gerald MacDonald (Marlys Parker), Calgary; George MacDonald (Kemila Isenor), Port Howe; daughter, Carol (Gary) Mundle, Pugwash Point; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Fred Ellis (Marta), Springhill, Jean Ripley (Gordon), Kanata, Ont., Roy Ellis (Beth), B.C.; several nieces and nephews; stepson, Stephen King (Lisa), London, Ont.; stepdaughter, Sue-san King (Simon), Halifax; 3 step grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald MacDonald; son, Brian MacDonald; granddaughter, Ashlea MacDonald; brothers, Richard and Stanley. Due to the pandemic restrictions a private family service will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (902) 243-2506. The family extend a special thank you to the hospital nursing staff for the loving care provided to Elaine during her illness.
