Obituary of Bea Daniels
It is with sadness that the family of Beatrice “Bea” Kathleen Daniels, age 97, wife of the late Osborne “Ossie” Daniels, announces her death which occurred on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her Parkland Retirement home.
She was born on March 21, 1923 in Hatfield Point, NB, a daughter of the late Melven and Lillian “Maude” (West) Ogilvie.
As a young teenager, nanny learned how to dance. Her mother had the first phonograph (record player) in the whole area. She loved dancing. She had wonderful gardens. She loved her dogs and kitties. Corky, one of her favorite dogs, picked his own carrots out of the garden. Nanny was a wonderful cook and had a great gift for hospitality.
Bea is survived by her daughters: Carolee Steeves of Hampton, NB, Janet Robertson (Jimmie Pittman) of Lunenberg, NS; son Daryl (Edie) Daniels of Quispamsis, NB; son-in-law Victor Girouard of Pocologan, NB; brother David (Sandra) Ogilvie of Hatfield Point, NB; eight grandchildren: Shannon, Shane, Jason, Becky, Carla, Kellye, Matthew, Tracey. and six great grandchildren: Jordan, Bailey, Ava, Mason, Claire and Zoe; one on the way; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Bea was also predeceased by her daughters: Sharon, Sandra, Bonny Girouard; son-in-law Charlie Steeves and brother Melven Jr.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176). Due to COVID-19, funeral service will be held privately.
