Obituary of Sherrill “Daddy’s Girl” Murphy, Glace Bay/Sydney Mines
Sherrill Nadine Murphy, age 65 Passed away on Friday, May 22nd, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born November 1, 1954 in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Elaine (Minto) Murphy.
Sherrill is survived by her siblings, Judy (Billy) Doyle, Helen Brown, Brenda (Wayne) Dunlop, David (Gaetane) Murphy, Michael (Anita) Murphy, Shelly (Shawn) Sheppard, and special nephews and nieces, Trevor, Nadine, David, Du-Wayne, Brad, Jimmy, Jason, Elaine, Ian, Stephanie, Brian and Ryan. Yes that’s a lot of names but Sherrill loved her babies.
Besides her parents, Sherrill was predeceased by her grandparents, nephew Robbie, and her brother in law, Alan.
She spent the last four years in Resi Care, Barrington Street home, Sydney Mines and we are eternally grateful for the loving care the staff provided. Thank you all so much.
To the staff at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, we are at a loss for words to express how appreciative we are for all you did for our baby girl.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Cremation & Reception Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. A celebration of her life will be held at a FUTURE DATE.
