Obituary
MARGARET LUCEAL GREEP HALL, beloved wife of the late Bert R. Hall, returned to her Heavenly Home on May 18, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
She will be greatly missed by her loving children: Morris (Sheila Meeks) of Lethbridge – Kelly Marie (deceased), Cory (Lori) Hall, Ryan Hall, Jesse (Kim) Hall; Bryce (Becky) Hall of Calgary – Clayton (Aimee) Hall, Kristin Hall, Blake (Britta) Hall, Brock (Karli) Hall, and Kayla (Jeff) Kenly; Mary Ann (Scott Slater deceased) (Kevin Hill) Hall Slater-Hill of Marriott Slaterville, Utah – Chelsey (Mark) Westergard, Jordan (Stephanie) Slater, and Sharlee (Trevor) Arave. Dearly loved and treasured also are her 13 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Margaret was born January 10, 1928 at home in Raymond to Stanley Stuart Greep and Tilda Christian Greep. She was raised in Raymond in a loving family with four siblings: Pearl Perry (deceased), Mary Powlesland (deceased), Ilene Greep (deceased), and Stanley (Carmen) Greep of Temecula, California.
She was sealed to her eternal companion, Bert, in the Cardston Alberta Temple. Together, they raised their children in Raymond. In later years, they moved to the farm east of Raymond. The farm became Margaret’s life. She worked, tirelessly, as a dedicated farmer’s wife, and was a leader in her church and community. She was a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a variety of callings. Margaret was a great cook – homemade rolls and bread, sloppy joes, her famous potato salad, July 1st Root Beer, and Christmas cabbage rolls were her trademark favourites. She willingly served others, and many were recipients of her love and caring. The family shared countless treasured times in Blaine Lake, Montana.
Margaret fought valiantly to remain on the farm that she and Bert cherished. She was aided by so many people in her own family, and in her dedicated church family as well. She also had numerous devoted and faithful friends who blessed her life. Margaret was one of a kind. She could sing “Popeye the Sailor Man” while changing her voice for the different character parts. She danced and sang with her grandchildren. There was always fun, teasing and happiness. Her family remember her as hilarious, spunky, and strong willed – but, always loving, and always beautiful.
Special thanks and remembrance to medical caregivers, and to forever friend Rose Forsyth. Sincere love and gratitude to Morris, who has faithfully cared for his mom enabling her to remain in her home as she wished.
A Family Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in the Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond.
