Daniel Holliday
May 7, 1951 ~ May 6, 2020
Daniel (Dan)(Doc) Holliday beloved husband of Denise Holliday passed away on May 6, 2020 at the Drumheller Health Centre at the age of 68 years.
Dan was born in Victoria, BC to Bob and Edith Holliday. Dan spent his early years going to school in Victoria, attending Sunday School and Cubs at the First United Church in Victoria. He played little league baseball, he was a Royal Canadian Sea Cadet with commendations. He was a senator known as Doc in the Knaves Car Club, one of the originals. He especially enjoyed his 1951 Ford Custom, car shows specifically the World of Wheels in Calgary, winning prizes with his 1951 Ford Custom Tudor Sedan, and Dan loved the freedom of his motorcycle.
Dan was a caring, big hearted and “I have your back kind of guy.” He was always willing to help family and friends if they were in need.
Dan will be forever remembered by his loving wife Denise Holliday, one daughter Michelle (Holliday) Engelmann of Olympia, Washington State, one son Thomas (Leslie Ann) Holliday of Chandler, Arizona, step-daughters Cindy, Lauri (Jeremy) Swan, step-daughter Tennelle Robinson, step-sons Peter Bowles, Steve Robinson, Dak (Missy) Robinson, grandchildren, Jordan, Jade, Anton, Solora, Shaeyla, Austin, Hunter, Shyanne, Alexzander, Erica, Harper, and River, two sisters Betty (Dave) Scudamore, Joan Wilkinson both of Victoria, B.C., and a lifetime of friends. Dan will be sadly missed by his best friend Ken Patterson.
Dan was predeceased by his parents Bob and Edith Holliday, second wife Teresa (Cookie) Boughton, brother-in-law Brian Wilkinson, and his step-son David Bowles.
As per Dan’s request there will be no formal funeral services and this time. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
