It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Lowell Brown on May 18, 2020 in his 82nd year. After a very short battle with cancer, he is now rejoicing in his Heavenly Home in the presence of Jesus, his Saviour. He is survived by his loving wife Lois. Lovingly remembered by his children: Melody (Ron), Linda (Robert), Lee (Bonnie) and Brent (Nancy); cherished Grandpa to: Tim (Josalyn), Matthew (Ashley), Bradley (Anna), Jennifer (Kevin), Curtis, James (Lindsay), Scott, William (Jess), Ellen (Mark) and Owen; and great-grandchildren Sophie, Joshua, Dylan, Emma, Delaney, Tenley & Teagan.
Lowell’s genuine love for people and keen interest in them permeated every aspect of his life and many have been impacted by his kindness and generosity. He devoted his time to serving others, especially those in need, regardless of the circumstances. In selfless service to others, he and Lois worked tirelessly in the Kingsview Sponsorship Program in the Dominican Republic where hundreds of children and families, widows and orphans were fed, clothed, educated and ministered to.
Even at the age of 81, Lowell continued to enjoy his daily job (which was not considered work to him) and loved playing hockey with his Stouffville rec team. He loved to sing and play his trumpet and Southern Gospel music (especially male quartets) was his long-time favourite.
Above all, his main desire was that all with whom he came in contact would come to know the love of Jesus and accept Him as their personal Saviour. We are certain that he has already heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant…welcome Home!”
A public memorial service will be arranged as soon as it’s possible. Donations in Lowell’s memory may be made to the Kingsview Sponsorship Program by visiting www.kingsviewsp.org.
