HUGHEY, NORMA JOAN
October 20, 1941 – May 16, 2020
With sad hearts, the family announces the passing of Norma, Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville after a short battle with cancer at the age of 78. Norma lived a full life, working at the Quaker Oats Co. in Peterborough before moving to Toronto to work in marketing and advertising for Canadian Coleman. She was an avid Raptor’s, Blue Jay’s fan. Daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Hughey. Norma was the much loved sister of Velma (Gord) Tucker, Donna (Ken) Stewart, Gladys (John) Wakefield and Harv (Renee) Hughey. Special aunt to Tracey (Brent), Tina (Jim), Chris (Lisa), Lisa (Scott), Doug (Erin), Megan (Mark), Courtney (Darren) and Curtis and will be fondly remembered by her 14 great nieces and nephews. In accordance with Norma’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service held at a later date.
