Obituary of John Woodhouse
Unexpectedly, at University Hospital, London, on May 17, 2020. John Robert Woodhouse AKA “Big John”, of Kemble, at the age of 60 years. Loved husband of Wendy (nee McWilliams), for 31 years. Dear father of George and his partner Sherise Jones, of Dartmouth, N.S., Ann and her partner Chris Neerhof, of Owen Sound, and Leah, of Kemble. Missed by his sister Janet Woodhouse (Derek Hill), and their children, Sarah, Meagan, and David, of Etobicoke. Survived by his father Bruce Woodhouse and his wife Helen, who farmed in Clarksburg. Predeceased by his mother Helen Woodhouse (nee Ibell). John was always one who would tell a story or share a good laugh. He also loved to travel and see the world; and connecting with his community by listening to am 560, C.F.O.S. Planting trees was one of his known pastimes so planting a tree in memory of John would make him smile. He was a partner of Bluewater Feed Co. and a more recently, a proud team member of Sharpe Farm Supplies. When not working, John could be found volunteering or umpiring with Owen Sound Minor Baseball. John was a judge at the Ontario Pork Congress and the Royal Winter Fair and has since become a huge advocate for Ontario Aquaculture.
