After a life lived devoted to her family, we sadly announce the passing of Aileen (Sammon) Walsh. Aileen now rejoins her infant son, as well as her beloved and dearly missed husband of 63 years, Clarence, who passed away in 2010. We were truly blessed to have such wonderful parents and take comfort in knowing they are together again. Aileen will be greatly missed by her loving children Joan & Don Blackwell, Patricia & Stewart Zacharjewicz, Nancy & Jim McKessock, Ann & Muzaffer Arsland and Barry & Heather Walsh.
Nana will be forever loved and missed by her grandchildren Melanie (Dan), Sarah, Katie (Andrew), Neil (Christie), Jan (Wes), Jill (Dan) as well as her great grandchildren Megg, Jake Trinity, Elijah, William, Bree, Danica, Brynn, Sarita, Kiigin, Nova, Maggie, Myla and Maeve. Aileen was blessed with a wonderful life and many friends. She was an accomplished bridge player, talented seamstress and wonderful cook as her sons-in-law would attest to.
To the 3rd floor, Tulip Wing, Pioneer Manor Staff, thank you for the care, compassion, and kindness you have shown Mom over the past years. It was evidenced daily and very much appreciated. At Aileen’s request, there will be no visitation with direct cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
“It is with heavy hearts and treasured memories that we say goodbye. Our memories live on and they will be with us always. Every evening, every dawn, always with us, never gone!”
