Pointe-du-Chêne,NB – Diane Clarrie Dumont, 78, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital, accompanied by her loving husband and her stepson, on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, she was the daughter of the late Albert and the late Edna Facey (born Fraser).
Diane really enjoyed her happy hour at the cottage with her friends, especially with Ann.
Diane will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 26 years, Lucien “Luc” Dumont; her daughter, Barb Malacanie (Joe) of Toronto, ON; her son, Steven Macaskill of Truro, NS; her brother, Wayne Facey of Little Harbour, NS; her sister, Evie Boudreau (late Lloyd) of New Glasgow, NS; her two grandchildren, Ryker and Alannak; her stepchildren, Mark (Darleen), Louise Bennet (Graeme), Don (Maipelo) all of Calgary, AB, Jon Paul Dumont (late Terrance) in Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews.
As per Diane’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Little Harbour Presbyterian Church in Little Harbour, NS at a later date. Followed by internment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation (Oncology) or to a charity of your choice.
