HAY, Ida Margaret — (Resident of Mapleview Retirement Residence, formerly of Havelock, and Member of Havelock Legion Branch 389 & L. A.) — Peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, March 12, 2020 in her 98th year. Wife of the late Edward (2003). Dear mother of Alvin (Christine, predeceased) of Kelowna, B.C., Darrell (Carole) of Sault Ste. Marie, Dwayne of Havelock, Karen Rodgers (Robert) of Hastings & the late infant son Dennis (1949). Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Sister of Harold Ellis & the late Jack Ellis, Aletha Barrons, Freda Barrons, Lula Kennedy, James Ellis, Mildred Levere, and Lois Caverly. Daughter of the late Stanley and Edith (nee Johnson). A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date. Heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Mapleview for their care and compassion over the last 13 years. Special thanks also to the nurses and staff at CMH 1st Floor during this difficult time. In memory of Ida, donations may be made to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
