Lorne Larter Saturday May 9th 2020

Lorne passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on May 9, 2020.
He was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Sam, brothers Earl and Ron and in-laws Laura & Emile Saindon. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecile, numerous sisters and brothers-in-law as well as the many nieces and nephews.
Lorne was born December 14, 1933, in Prairie Grove, Manitoba. He worked for Modern Dairies for 47 years as a mechanic and foreman. He loved to attend dances with Cecile and friends. This of course would lead to countless miles driving to and from small towns around the province in the wee hours of the morning. He loved camping and really enjoyed his time at the Great Woods Park in Beausejour, MB where he would not only care for their own trailer but help many others with theirs.
Lorne had a kind and loving heart, a great sense of humour and could be always be counted on when needed. He has a very special place in our hearts and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lorne’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
