Jeanine Marie Green
April 08, 1935 – May 02, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Jeanine Marie Green (Nolin) in Dryden Regional Health Centre on Saturday evening May 2, 2020 with her loving son Glenn holding her hand and providing comfort.
Jeanine was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 8, 1935 and moved to Dryden with her parents and sister Juliette soon after she had graduated from high school. She began her working career when she arrived in Dryden and worked at various offices but most notably for many years at McAuley and Partners. She met and married the love of her life Wayne and together they started their family. They were blessed with 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Family was important to Jeanine and nothing brought a smile to her face quicker than a visit or phone call from her grandchildren.
Jeanine was a talented seamstress and knitter and later turned her talents to quilting. She also enjoyed making wedding cakes and there were many weddings that had one of her creations. After retirement she also made ice cream cakes at the Dairy Queen. She always enjoyed fishing, camping and the occasional game of bingo.
Jeanine is survived by her son Dale (Shaunda), daughter Gale (Jake) Kamm, son Glenn and dear friend and niece Lucille (Berg) Rhyner. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Curtis (Philly) Kamm, Brandon (Kyley) Kamm, Mariah (Tano) Ricci and Dillon (Maddie) Green. Her great-grandchildren, Kaedyn, Rheece and Blaikly Kamm, as well as Hayley Kamm and Tavares Green also survive. Left to mourn her passing are her sisters Denise Bangle of Winnipeg and Juliette (Garry) Lindquist of Steinbach, Manitoba and her sister-in-law Wilda Nystrom of Dryden.
Jeanine was predeceased by her beloved husband Wayne, her parents Bea and Charlie Sahaychuk, her mother and father-in-law Len and Louise Green, her brothers Alf, Bob and Gerry and her sister-in-law, Janice Eger.
Due to current restrictions, a private graveside burial will be held. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Al Campeau officiating later in the summer when it is safe to do so.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory through Stevens Funeral Home, P .O. Box 412, Dryden ON. P8N 2Z1.
Mom, when you needed us most our world changed creating obstacles for us to see you in hospital. We were with you in spirit. Rest easy amongst the angels. Till we meet again.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jeanine Marie Green April 08 1935 May 02 2020..
