Alvin worked mostly in the heavy equipment industry his entire life. He spent time with the local municipality, he cleaned corrals, and worked in the oil patch. He worked in “the patch” from Fort St. John, to back home in Pierson. His last years in the patch were spent with Day Construction as foreman. He worked for Tony and Vi Day since the early 1980’s. He enjoyed being in a “Cat” the most and met lots of people working in the oilfield. As Tony’s daughter Linda said, “Heaven gained another great cat skinner! Alvin and Tony are calling Eric to build some leases.”
A graveside service for Alvin will take place at the Tilston Cemetery, Tilston, MB. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with (rev.) Heather Sandilands officiating.
Donations in memory of Alvin can be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Blvd, Winnipeg, MB. R3P 2T5 or to a charity of one’s choice.
