Sheila’s Obituary
Sheila Catherine Nellie Thorburn – 71, of Sandy Point, Shelburne Co, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020, at Roseway Hospital with her 2 daughters by her side. Sheila was born in Halifax on August 14, 1948, and was the daughter of Sigrid Fancy Guinchard and Rocky MacClement. Sheila moved to Shelburne at age 17, when she met Davy, her soulmate of 53 years. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, baking, painting and spending time with her family and grandchildren, whom she adored. Sheila is predeceased by her husband David Charles, and is survived by her 4 children, Michael (Lisa), Denny (Charity), Sandy (Chris), and Shelly (Blair). Grandchildren include Chasity, Courtney, Kiara, Ryan, Lindsey, Michael Jr, and Rhysse and 5 step grandchildren. Great Grandchildren include Owen, Oliver, Ryder and Wrenley. The family wishes to thank Dr Keeler and all the staff at Roseway Hospital, and VON for all the wonderful and loving care they showed. Sheila will be remembered as a loyal, caring, respected and fun loving person by her family, friends, and all that knew her. Memorial Donations can be made to the Sandy Point Lighthouse or charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to HM Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Shelburne, where you may sign the online guestbook and leave messages of condolence for the family @ www.huskilson.net
