Harvey John Blondeau passed away peacefully on the morning of May 1st, 2020, at Burnaby Hospital at the age of 83.
Harvey will be sadly missed and is survived by his wife of 50 years Arlette, son Colin, son Nathan (wife Larena, children Sierra and Tyler), daughter Rebecca, and many surviving siblings and extended family.
Harvey was born in Lebret, Saskatchewan, and worked a variety of jobs before receiving training as a Medical Imaging Technician. Shortly after getting married Harvey and Arlette moved to BC, where Harvey worked as a manager in the Medical Imaging Department of Lions Gate Hospital until his retirement. Harvey was a kind man who’s passions including forwarding the rights of people with developmental disabilities. Harvey was one of the founding members of the Woodlands Parents Group and an active board member for the Community Living Society for many years.
A Funeral Mass for Harvey will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020, at 1 pm at Holy Cross Parish, located at 1450 Delta Ave, Burnaby, BC. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 health crisis, no Prayer Service will take place prior to the Mass, with social distancing regulations and restrictions being followed within the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Living Society (CLS).
