Marguerite Allison “Marg” Patterson
1930-2020
Marguerite Allison “Marg”
Patterson – 89, Truro, formerly of Fredericton, New
Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2020, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Densmore Mills,
Colchester County, she was the daughter of the late Glendon and Hannah
(Densmore) Sandeson.
Marg was a member of Wilmot United Church in Fredericton for
many years. A very quiet and private lady, she loved knitting and many
family and friends will treasure the creations that she lovingly made
for them.
Marg is survived by her brother, Gary (Pat) Cox, Truro;
long-time friends, Archie (Elwanda) Gillis, Fredericton, New
Brunswick; several special nieces and nephews. Along with her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband, Walter A.
Patterson.
We would like to extend a very special thank you to Charlene
MacKenzie for her care, compassion and friendship over the past nine
months; Marg looked forward to seeing you, enjoyed the time you spent
with her and thought very highly of you. As well, we would like to
thank the staff and residents at Fergus Hall, Parkland Estates, for
welcoming Marg and making her feel welcome and at home.
Interment will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery,
Upper Stewiacke. If so desired, donations in Marg’s memory
to Mission and Service Fund of The United Church of Canada or Diabetes
Canada are welcomed.
