Coal Branch, NB – Doris Smith, 82, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital, with her husband by her side, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020.
Born in Dover, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Catherine Gauvin (born Nowlan).
Doris will be sadly missed by her husband, Gary Smith; her two stepdaughters, Brenda Palmer (Bob) and Kimberly LeBlanc (Larry); her three brothers, Georges (late Maria) of West Palm Beach, FL, Léo-Paul of Moncton and Jean-Marie (Edna) of Gatineau, QC; her sister, Claudette Fitzsimons (Donald) of Moncton; her sister-in-law, Marie; also by several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard Johnston; her stepson, Stephen Johnston; her sister, Gloria (late Donald); her brother, Ronald and her baby brother, Francis.
As per Doris’ wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Greater Moncton SPCA or to Ray of Hope Needy Kitchen (340 Dominion Street, Moncton, NB E1C 6H8).
