Abraham or Abey as he was fondly known was a very quiet and loving man. He worked tirelessly as a fisherman from the early age of 9 until he retired some 55 years later. His love of fishing and the outdoors was evident in the hours you could see him up in the river salmon fishing or in the woods moose hunting which he enjoyed so much. His family was everything to him and he and Rosie loved to spend time with them and travelled many times to see family living away. In his recent years, you could often find them both relaxing at their cabin playing a game of cards and even sneaking in the odd bingo game. He will remain in our hearts forever. In keeping with His wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal gathering at this time, the family will announce the interment at a later date. Donations in memory of Abraham can be made to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com
