FLINDALL, Rev. Robert L.
In loving memory of Reverend Robert L Flindall August 20 1932 – April 28 2020 Robert was the son of William R.L Flindall and Ethel May Millins. Robert was the youngest beloved brother to Don Flindall, Doug Flindall, Gwen Kelleher, Ena Kryschuk, Ed Flindall, Ernest Flindall, Roscoe Flindall, Vernon Flindall, Vera Thompson, Lois Miller and Helen Dafoe. Bob was also the much loved brother in law to Grace and Tony Bellinger. Robert was the loving, dedicated husband to Joyce Flindall (nee Firth) celebrating more than 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2014. He was a wonderful father and will be deeply missed by his daughters Katherine Conchie, Jennifer Daniels and honorary third daughter Lissa Bellinger. He was known and much loved as Pa to his five grandchildren Laura, Megan, Emily, Camilla and Sebastian and his great grandchildren Cameron, Gregory, Amelia, and Reggie. Robert was the much loved Uncle Bob to many nieces and nephews of the Flindall and Bellinger family and their children. Robert studied Engineering at Queens University and afterward had a long and successful career working for many years at Northern Telecom, in Bramalea Ontario. After taking an early retirement he studied and completed his Masters of Divinity at the University of Toronto and became a much loved and respected Minister in the United Church of Canada. He was Minister at a number of United churches in Ontario including; Norval United, Oakwood United, Little Britain United, Grace United Trenton, Albury United and Rednersville United of Prince Edward County, and Foxboro United Church. Bob loved to travel and leaves behind many great memories of trips from coast to coast in Canada and the U.S., as well as some European countries. There were many happy adventures with Joyce, Katherine and Jen, Joyce’s parents Stella and Arthur Firth, Joyce’s sister Grace and her husband Tony, and a very memorable trip to the East Coast with his nephew Andrew Huddleston. Bob had a particular love for the Maritimes and is still known as “Uncle Bob” to many folks on P.E.I. Bob has touched the lives of many people in his life and will be missed by old and new friends, his poker buddies, and all of the dear friends he made in his last years living at Quinte Gardens in Belleville. Whether you knew him as Robert, Bob, Dad, Uncle Bob or Pa, he was an extremely bright light full of loving energy, boundless fun, enthusiasm and positivity.
