Obituary of Hilma Marina Ellen Melnychuk
1935 – 2020
With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Hilma on April 28, 2020 at Swan Valley Lodge, Creston, B.C.
Hilma was born on the farm, in Beatty, Saskatchewan to John and Nellie Carlson. Later in life she graduated from the Saskatoon City Hospital, becoming a Registered Nurse. Hilma was a gentle soul, who dedicated her time to taking care of others. She loved spending time and making cherished memories with her family. She will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her only child Don, daughter in law Kim Appleton, her three grandchildren, Samantha (James), Ashley (Tyler), Michael (Karli), one great grandchild, Emma Rose, sister Elsie Porter, also survived by brother in law John Melnychuk, and sister in law Pat Melnychuk, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
There will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of one’s choice.
