Obituary of Kristina Kikel
Loving Memories Last Forever
Kristina passed away peacefully on April 30, 2020 at Freeport Hospital Palliative Care at the age of 95. Loving and cherished by her sister Emma and by her nephews Mike and John. She was predeceased by her beloved Fiancé, George Malinauskas, on May 6th 1997, Parents Victoria Kikel & Andrew Kikel, Brother Joseph Kikel and Brother-in-law Stanley Pintar.
Kristina was born in Slovenia, in the town of Stari Log and then immigrated to Canada, Timmins Ontario and from there she settled to her home in Kitchener.
Kristina was employed for over 20yrs with Greb Industries Limited and met many dear friends that she still had to this day. She was once part of The Alpine Club, the Ladies Group “Edelweiss” and cherished her time and the camaraderie of the group of women over the years.
Kristina attended Church at St. Mary Our Lady of Seven Sorrows in Kitchener most of her life and felt ever so blessed to be part of this spiritual community and all the relationships she had as a parishioner.
A private family graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener. A memorial service to celebrate and honour Kristina’s life and faith will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of Seven Sorrows at a later date.
Donations of sympathy would be appreciated to Meals on Wheels.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kristina
