William Oiva Bill Kiviaho Monday April 27th 2020

In memory of William “Bill” Kiviaho who passed away at Finlandia Village on Monday, April 27th, 2020 at 75 years of age. Loving Father of Erik (Allison; children: Kyle and Bradley), and David (Melissa; children: Macey and Clara). Survived by his very special sister Laila of Manitoulin Island. Remembered by the mother of his children Anu Kiviaho (nee Rainurm). Son to the late Eli and Hilda Kiviaho (nee Maki). Dear brother of Emil, Edward, Eugene, Allan and John all predeceased. Lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends here in Canada, Finland and USA.
Billy worked as a bonus miner for INCO for 30 years. He retired to the North Channel on Manitoulin Island where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, Saunas, and working on his many vehicles, farm tractors and small engines.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Finlandia Village – Kuusi Home, for the outstanding care and compassion they showed towards Bill and his family.
A private family service will be held. Interment in the Whitefish Public Cemetery.
If desired, donations in William’s memory, may be made to the Finlandia Village Sisu Foundation or a charity of your choice.
