1935-2020
Viola MacIntyre of Riverview passed away at her residence on
April 23, 2020. She was the daughter of the Late Rueben and
Elizabeth (Bellfontaine) Marriott. Viola was employed with
the Sears Toy Department in Halifax from the mid 70’s to the
early 90’s and then worked for the Post Office in Halifax
from the early 90’s to 2000. Her greatest passions
in life were her books and her faith.
She is dearly loved by her daughters Kim (Michael), Debbie
(Ken), Karen (Gerald), Kathy (Moe), Lisa (John); sons John (Lori),
Rueben (Kathy), Ronald (Nadine); sisters Madeline (Keith), Mardy
(Gordon), Bernadette (Harry) Edna (Jim); brothers Joe (Doris), Doug
(Beatrice), Rueben (Lorraine), David (Bev), Bruce (Marion);
grandchildren Shawn, Jennifer, Melissa, Dan, Julie, Andrew, Daniel,
Christa, Zachery, Chad, Cerah, Joshua, Ian, Ross, Austin;
great-grandchildren Taylor, Hunter, MacKenzy, Owen, Declan, Lucy,
Ella, Lucia, Henry, Arthur, Mya and many beloved nieces and
nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by
daughter Kim Bedford and great-granddaughter MacKenzy Woolfsmith and
former husband John MacIntyre. Special thanks to Dr. Pierre
Beaulieu and Jocelyn, also Extra Mural Earth Angel Suzanne Mallet for
their compassionate and loving care of our mother.
Due to the Covid -19 crisis, a celebration of life service
will be held at a later date. Donations made to the
Alzheimer’s Association or Canadian Cancer Society would be
greatly appreciated by her family.
