Riley, Shirley Mae (Fraser). It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Shirley announce her peaceful passing on April 23, 2020. She was born in Halifax May 3, 1937 to Donald and Helen Fraser. Shirley graduated from Miss Murphy’s Business School and retired in 1998 from Nautel. Shirley spent most of her life in Glen Margaret and was an active member of the William Black Memorial Church and looked forward each week to Sunday Service and singing with the choir. She was predeceased by her husband Donald and is survived by sons Steven (Tina) Glen Haven, Douglas (Shelley) Bridgewater and Glenn, Glen Margaret; grandchildren Josh (Kelly), Maggie (Grant), Amanda (Scott), Keri (Josh), Jordan (Brittany); great-grandchildren Shay, Chelsea, Lucas, Katie, Faith, Jaxson, Leo; sisters Jean, Doris, Hazel, Linda, Nancy, brother Donald; many nieces and nephews. Mom loved spending time with her family, friends, cooking, knitting and helping everyone. Family was everything to Mom and she felt blessed to have been able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will always remember Mom’s generosity and unconditional love, always giving and never asking for anything in return. At her request there will be no service. A private family burial will take place at a later time. Donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to William Black United Church, Glen Margaret.
