Myrna Elaine Walls Thursday April 23rd 2020

Myrna Elaine Walls
With profound grief we announce the passing of Myrna Walls of Cameron Hall, Parkland Clayton Park, on April 23, 2020. She was born in Hampton, NS, and grew up in the Annapolis Valley, attending Acadia University. In 1954 she married Clyde Walls, and moved with him to homes in Pictou, Halifax, Amherst, Summerside, PEI, Truro and St. Stephen, NB, before retiring to Halifax. She had a passion for music which she shared and nurtured in her children and grandchildren. Myrna was an accomplished musician, taught piano for many years and played regularly during services at Kirk-McColl United Church while living in St.Stephen. She was also known for playing for the singalong at Cameron Hall and for giving impromptu concerts on the dining room piano. She took great pride in her homemaking and was a skilled seamstress, making many outfits for her daughters and herself over the years. She and Clyde were active in the United Church in each of the communities where they lived, and in the Y’s Men/Y’s Menettes club in Amherst and Summerside. Clyde and Myrna and the family had many happy summers at the cottage in Northport, NS, where the family continues to spend time every year. In later years they enjoyed travelling to Spain, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Arizona, Israel and Egypt, as well as visiting other parts of Canada. After Clyde’s passing, she travelled to Eastern Europe with Candice and her family and explored Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Romania. She was a wonderful, caring and patient mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde; 6 brothers, Boyd Brinton, Don Brinton, Stan Brinton, Ray Brinton, Gerald Brinton, and Gordon Brinton, and one sister, Marjorie Brinton. She is survived by her 3 children: Heather (John) McLearn, Halifax, Charles (Cathy) Walls, Halifax and Candice (Kirk) Munroe, Aurora, Ontario; 6 grandchildren Charles McLearn, Marjorie McLearn, Laura (Vincent) Bédard, Samantha Munroe, Rod Munroe, and Benjamin Walls; 3 great-grandchildren, Giselle and Camille Bédard, and Kenzie Hill; many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but online condolences can be sent to www.rawalker.ca
