Grande-Digue, NB – It is with sadness that we announce that Edmond Léger passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Sunday April 19, 2020, at the age of 98.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Edouard and the late Emma Léger (born Goguen).
Edmond worked for more than 40 years for the Lockwood Company. His favorite pastime was bingo.
Edmond will be sadly missed by his son, Gérard Léger (Nicole) of Grande-Digue; two daughters, Gisèle Léger (Kate) of Shediac River and Monique Goguen (Ulysse) of Cocagne; three brothers, Emerie Léger (Laudia), Roger Léger (Jeannine) both of Grande-Digue and Laurie Léger (Jeannette) of Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Marielle (Miguel), Mathieu (Courtney) and Christophe (Stéphanie); five great grandchildren, Shaefer, Arielle, Mikel, Annabelle and Alexandre; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the date and hours of the visitations and funeral service will be announced at a later date.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Thérèse Léger; one sister, Rita; three brothers, Yvon, Edgar and Armand; also by his grandson, Louis.
