Obituary of William Robert Callaghan
Age 52, Halifax, passed away on November 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
William loved to fish and enjoyed the quality time with his late father. He also enjoyed watching movies with his beloved partner Samantha and their children. He was known to play his music loud with the bass blasting and offered his DJ services at his goddaughter Caleigh’s birthday parties multiple times. William enjoyed working on cars and was known as Mr. Fix it as he could fix anything that was placed in front of him. He had a huge heart and loved to make others laugh. Even through his sickness he accomplished that and never once lost his humour.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha Murphy; mother, Donna Callaghan (Melvin Whitty); sons, Kyle Callaghan (Shaylene Daniels), Brandon Brown, Brock Brown, William Callaghan III; daughters, Ashley (Kyle) Pittman, Brittany Callaghan, Breanna Callaghan; brother, Jimmy (Susan) Callaghan, Tommy (Leanne) Callaghan; sisters, Brenda (Tony) Reid, Catherine Holland (Jordan McCallum), Rose Callaghan (Adam Alguire); granddaughters, Aria Pittman, Lilly Grace MacLeod ; goddaughter, Caleigh Davenport; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, William Robert Callaghan Sr.; brother, Donald “Donnie” Callaghan; maternal and paternal grandparents.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Road, where visitiation will be on Wednesday December 4 from 7-9pm. A celebration of life service will be on Thursday Decemeber 5 at 1pm from the funeral home chapel.
