REID, William John: Peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, December 8, 2019 in his 76th year. Bill, beloved husband of Judy (nee Murdock) for 50 years. Loving and devoted father of Cindy Deans (Colin), and Tracy Reid (Lori). Cherished Grampa of Hannah and Farrah. Dear brother of Barbara Shetler (Sam, predeceased), Rob Reid (Bonnie, predeceased), and the late Elizabeth Oakley (Arthur, predeceased). Dear brother-in-law of Jim Murdock (Roleen). Remembered lovingly by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Grace Reid and by Judy’s parents Maitland and Lillian Murdock. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life in the Chapel of HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at 10:30 am. Reverend Kate Harrison officiating. Reception to follow. In memory of Bill, and in lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations be directed to one of the following: The PRHC Foundation for the great level of care provided to him, or to your local Food Bank because he was at his best in the kitchen or at the BBQ, and made sure that everyone always had a good home cooked meal.
