Obituary
Vince Candline
June 19, 1929 – December 9, 2019
Vince passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Vince is lovingly remembered by his wife June; children Nancy Klebaum, Bruce Candline (Heather), Sheri Candline and Kim Appelt (Dean); grandchildren Matthew Klebaum, Kelly Klebaum, Kimberly Johnson (Zack), Madison Candline, Tanya Candline, Natasha Vercammen (Patrick), Brett Appelt & Mitchell Appelt; great-grandchildren Violet Vercammen and Emmett Johnson; brother Bruce Candline (Marlene); and numerous nieces and nephews. Vincent Alfred Candline was born in Saskatoon. He attended Buena Vista elementary school and Nutana High School. He was a hard worker his whole life, from the early days as a Star Phoenix carrier ending with a 40 year career as an Automotive Technician at Merlin Motors. He met the love of his life June on a blind date. They celebrated 66 years of marriage in April of this year. Vince was handy, could fix anything, and even built their first home on Central Avenue in Sutherland. He finally had his dream garage at their house on Park Avenue. It was filled with woodworking tools, some of them handmade by Vince. In his retirement his garden was his pride and joy and he loved to grow vegetables and flowers. His pond with a homemade bridge was admired by many. His family meant the world to him and his grandchildren all have many memories of adventures with Grandpa! He will be missed by all of us. The family plans to have a Private Celebration of Life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vince’s memory may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada (600-60 St Clair Ave. E, Toronto, ON M4T 1N5). Arrangements are in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
