November 16, 1928 – December 21, 2019

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare West End Villa in Ottawa where she had resided for almost two
years.
She was born in Churchbridge, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Edward Paget (d 1954) and Margaret
Montgomery (d 1983) of Yorkton, Sask. and Sleepy Eye, Minnesota respectively.
Verda is survived by her brothers Milton (Saskatoon) and Clayton (Regina) and their families, her daughter
JoAnn (New York) and the extended family of her son Gary Allan (d 2018) in Ottawa (Patricia, Laura {wife
Mel}, Philip and Emi).
Married to Arthur Walter Kaeding in 1952, they were devoted partners and enjoyed life to the fullest
until his death in 1986. Together they lived in Regina, Burlington, Calgary, Richmond and back to
Burlington. In 2017, she moved to Ottawa to be near her son Al prior to his passing in 2018.
She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Burlington, Ontario alongside her husband. No
services at this time but we will celebrate Verda further in the New Year.
