TITUS – Greta H., 87, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2019.
Born in Liverpool, Greta was a daughter of the late Lester and Louise (Joudrey) Smith.
Greta was a clerk with Sobeys for a number of years before going to work in the meat room at Cavanaugh’s. She enjoyed quilting and rug hooking and going for drives every day. Greta also enjoyed going through Salvation Army Thrift Store and S.P.C.A. Thrift Store and trying to meet her personal goal of having an ice cream every day. Her daughter Kim’s pug was her pride and joy.
She is survived by her daughters Kim Kook of Liverpool, Barb Corkum of Belmont, Betty (David) Teed of Debert. Her sons Andy (Diane) of Truro, Brian (Patty) of Salmon River and her daughter in law Pat Manthorne of Mersey Point as well as a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Greta was predeceased by her first husband Willis Manthorne, her second husband Ernest Titus, her son Terry Manthorne and her brothers Barry and Eddie.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations to S.H.A.I.D. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
